Being a caregiver of a family member or loved one with dementia is overwhelming! Providing the needed care for the person, as well as, taking care of yourself is balancing act. The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Southwest Wisconsin is now taking registrations for our next series of the SAVVY Caregiver program.  Participants will learn how to be more effective in their caregiving and finding resources while also taking care of themselves.

SAVVY Caregiver is an evidence-based program that helps family caregivers acquire and strengthen knowledge, skills, and attitudes empowering them to be more intentional, strategic, and responsive in their caregiving role. Taking care of a person with dementia is specialized work. To do this, caregivers need special skills, knowledge and a positive attitude that helps them to care for themselves as well.

Through this 7-week class, caregivers gain skills to manage daily care, learn new approaches, and gain confidence! Our program will be held on Wednesdays from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM from April 27th through June 8th. This program will be held virtually via ZOOM.
