County Specific Information
This is a door-to-door service using volunteer drivers who use their own vehicles to provide rides to medical and some other important business appointments for individuals who are not on Medical Assistance (MA). Other trip requests are determined on a case-by-case basis. Trip requests should be made as soon as possible to allow ADRC staff time to schedule a driver. Riders must be able to enter and exit the vehicle on their own with minimum assistance.
Fees for these trips are based on the mileage incurred. To schedule a ride or learn more about the program, please contact Miriah at 608-723-6113 or 1-800-514-0066.
If you have Medical Assistance and need a ride to a medical appointment, an option is to contact MTM at 1-866-907-1493.
The ADRC operates two wheelchair accessible bus routes (North Route and South Route). Service is provided for persons 60 and older, disabled persons of any age, and persons under 60 if there is room available. Riders can use the bus for medical appointments, visiting relatives and friends in area towns, shopping, and special events planned by the ADRC. Special group excursions are scheduled throughout the year for shopping and entertainment purposes. These excursions cost more than a daily bus ride.
The bus leaves Lancaster at 8:30 a.m. and will leave the destination city between 1:00 and 1:30 to return. The cost is $3.00 round trip per person. Passengers will be able to stop at up to 3 places in the destination city at no additional cost.
