Mug Club for Caregivers (support group) @ Health & Human Services Center

Taking care of someone can be hard, even when it’s someone you love. Caring for a loved one can impact every aspect of your life. Preparing and protecting yourself, working to understand your loved one’s experience, and embracing help from others can help to enhance the joys of your caregiving experience. Contact the ADRC is you or someone you know could use a little extra help. Our support group meets monthly on the Third Tuesday from 10:30 to Noon at the Dodgeville Health & Human Services Center. Refreshments are served.

ADRC TAXI – The ADRC Taxi provides transportation to City of Dodgeville residents on Wednesdays and Fridays. The hours of operation for the ADRC Taxi are 7:45am – 3:30pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.  The taxi service is limited to stops within Dodgeville city limits plus Blain’s Farm & Fleet.  Fees are charged for this service.  Please call 608-553-0590 to organize your taxi service needs.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling the ADRC at (608) 328-9499. Priority is given to older people and people with disabilities.  If space is available, we provide transportation to anyone of any age who requests a ride.  Reservations can be made at any time, but must be made at least one day prior to the trip.

These are open to any Green County resident with priority given to those age 55+ or disabled.  Please call the ADRC at 608-328-9499.

Monday’s ~ Blends & Friends Cafe @ Churchill Woods Apartments

Special Trip to Olbrich Botanical Gardens @ Olbrich Botanical Gardens

Stroll through 16 acres of outdoor display gardens and an indoor, tropical conservatory at Olbrich Botanical Gardens. In the outdoor gardens, visit the Thai Pavilion and Garden. Olbrich’s Thai Pavilion is the only one in the continental United States and the only one outside of Thailand surrounded by a garden. Also stroll through the rose garden and other specialty gardens, such as the Perennial Gar-den, Sunken Garden, and Herb Garden.

Bus will leave in Monroe at Green County Human Services parking lot on Monday, June, 24 at 8:30 for a 10:00 AM tour. The tour will last 45-60 minutes. You will then get to visit the other attractions that are on site such as the Bolz Conservatory, the Growing Gifts Shop or the Schumacher Library. Lunch will be at Monty’s Blue Plate Diner in Madison at 12 noon.

Cost is $10 for the bus and $5 for the tour upon arrival.
