Join us at the first Memory Café in Green County!
The Aging & Disability Resource Center is starting the first Memory Café in Green County on May 11th from 1:30-3:00 pm at the Behring Senior Center Blends & Friends Café at 1113 10th Street, Monroe, Wisconsin!
A Memory Café is a social gathering for individuals living with memory loss, early stage dementia including Alzheimer’s, and their family and friends. It will be a time to gather for laughter, relaxation, activities, and companionship.
Join us the second Wednesday of each month to enjoy refreshments, conversation, and activities. Some possible activities include music, photo sharing, guest presenters, games, hobbies such as gardening, and much more.
The Monroe Memory Café is a stigma free program where you can come enjoy yourself and relax.
There will be skilled staff and volunteers present to facilitate this free program, but if you need assistance to participate, please have a family member or friend join us!
Taking the first step can be hard. “You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step,” Martin Luther King Jr.
Please do not hesitate to contact Whitney Thompson, Dementia Care Specialist for the ADRC at 608-426-4295 or wthompson@gchsd.org if you have questions or want to participate.
