With rising temperatures this week, it is important that information on cooling centers is being shared! In Lafayette County there are many cooling sites, please see below for details.
- All of the libraries in each city can be used as a cooling shelter
- All of the meal sites in each town can be used. There are meal sites in the following towns:
- Belmont
- Benton
- Darlington
- Shullsburg
- Blanchardville- at the Viking Cafe- You may have to make a purchase to hang out there, otherwise you can go to the municipal building.
- You may contact dispatch at the Sheriff Department and they can help find proper accommodations. 608-776-4870
