A Unique Support Group for People Diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease

Please note this is not a support group that is affiliated with the ADRC. However, we want people to know about this developing resource in our community!

The purpose of the support group will be to help participants:

+Stay informed about the latest treatment and research developments in PD

+Share concerns and have questions answered in a confidential environment

+Learn coping skills that can improve the quality of life with PD

+Be part of a supportive and uplifting community

Organizer Jan Prince was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2011 and since then has been active in several support groups. In 2012, she participated in the national pilot program, Self-Efficacy Learning Forum, endorsed by the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation. She helped design and lead the first Self-Efficacy Learning Forum Leader Training in 2016.

The group will begin meeting in the early fall of 2017 in the Mineral Point/Dodgeville area.
