By Valerie Hiltbrand, ADRC Manager

We want to share an exciting update with our community: Iowa County has submitted an application to the State of Wisconsin to become a standalone Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC). If approved, this change would take effect on January 1, 2026, and our name would change from the ADRC of Southwest Wisconsin – Iowa County to the ADRC of Iowa County.

We want to reassure the public that we anticipate little to no change in the way you access services. You will continue to work with the same friendly staff, at the same location, and receive the same great service. ADRC services will remain free, confidential, and unbiased, just as they’ve always been. The only noticeable change will be a new website address under the IowaCounty.org domain beginning in 2026.

This proposed change reflects the strength of our local ADRC and our commitment to providing high-quality, responsive services to Iowa County residents. We are proud of our partnerships and look forward to continuing to serve older adults, adults with disabilities, caregivers, and families with compassion and care.

We’ll keep the community informed as this process moves forward. Look for periodic updates in our monthly publication, the News and Views, on our website, or on our Facebook page. If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to give us a call us at 608-930-9835.
