Who We Are

We’re here to help older people and people with disabilities – along with their families and caregivers – find services and resources to keep them living well and independently.We help: Adults age 60 and older, Adults with physical or developmental disabilities

Our Mission

The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Southwest Wisconsin is dedicated to providing older adults and people with physical or developmental/intellectual disabilities with the resources needed to live with dignity and security, and achieve maximum independence and quality of life. The goal of the ADRC is to empower individuals to to make informed choices and to streamline access to the appropriate services and supports.

ADRC Taxi @ City of Dodgeville
Jun 5 @ 7:45 am – 3:30 pm

ADRC TAXI – The ADRC Taxi provides transportation to City of Dodgeville residents on Wednesdays and Fridays. The hours of operation for the ADRC Taxi are 7:45am – 3:30pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.  The taxi service is limited to stops within Dodgeville city limits plus Blain’s Farm & Fleet.  Fees are charged for this service.  Please call 608-553-0590 to organize your taxi service needs.

Grant County Taxi in Fennimore
Jun 5 @ 8:30 am – 12:00 pm

A wheelchair accessible, lowered floor mini van is used to transport people of ALL ages in Fennimore on Friday afternoon from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Cost is $2.00 each way and 50 cents for stops between the first and last one. Please contact 608-822-6644 for more information.

  • An inclusive, warm, ‘family’ atmosphere
  • Fun physical exercises to keep joints/muscles flexible
  • Stimulating mental activities

  • Delicious full noon meal
  • Medication reminders
  • Nutritious snacks
  • Transportation available
  • Musical entertainment
  • Community outings
  • Local speakers

 

Positive Outcomes for participants:

  • Foster a sense of belonging, purpose
  • Rekindle old hobbies and learn new ones
  • Reduce depression
  • Improve mental agility
  • Stronger, more flexible joints & muscles

  • Older adults facing health and social changes who want to participate in fun, stimulating, and meaningful  activities
