Who We Are

We’re here to help older people and people with disabilities – along with their families and caregivers – find services and resources to keep them living well and independently. We help: Adults age 60 and older, Adults with physical or developmental disabilities.


Our Mission

The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Southwest Wisconsin is dedicated to providing older adults and people with physical or developmental/intellectual disabilities with the resources needed to live with dignity and security, and achieve maximum independence and quality of life. The goal of the ADRC is to empower individuals to to make informed choices and to streamline access to the appropriate services and supports.

Dementia Friendly Iowa County Meetings are a community driven effort to develop and sustain an increased awareness and understanding of dementia with decreased isolation and stigma so individuals with dementia are valued, included, and live well.

Meetings are confidential, warm and welcoming. They start at 10:30 am and last only an hour or so. All are welcome! Bring a friend! Dodgeville Public Library, 139 South Iowa Street, Dodgeville.

Dementia Support Group

Build a support system with people who understand. Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia to:

  • Develop a support system.
  • Exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions.
  • Talk through issues and ways of coping.
  • Share feelings, needs and concerns.
  • Learn about community resources.

The Mug Club for Caregivers support group provides a forum for those who are caring for a loved one to seek out information and gain support from others who are in a similar situation.

We are dedicated to support older adults and their families in our community through a variety of programs and services.

Various topics are discussed as well as Care & Share. Care & Share is a unique opportunity for group participants to connect with other caregivers as we share our challenges and our joys of caring for a loved one. Take advantage of this time to gain support as we learn useful tips for self-care from each other.

Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month from 10:30 AM-Noon. Dodgeville Public Library, 139 S. Iowa Street, Dodgeville. Call (608) 930-9835 for more information.
