Who We Are

We’re here to help older people and people with disabilities – along with their families and caregivers – find services and resources to keep them living well and independently. We help: Adults age 60 and older, Adults with physical or developmental disabilities.


Our Mission

The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Southwest Wisconsin is dedicated to providing older adults and people with physical or developmental/intellectual disabilities with the resources needed to live with dignity and security, and achieve maximum independence and quality of life. The goal of the ADRC is to empower individuals to to make informed choices and to streamline access to the appropriate services and supports.

Steak Cookout and Live Music @ Hidden Valley Community Church

Join the SUN Program at the Dodgeville Dining Site on Friday, July 21st for their annual Steak Cookout. Steaks are purchased from Avon Locker in Darlington and grilled outdoors. We have a picnic meal that consists of steak, potato salad, watermelon, roll, and brownie with walnuts, all for only $4.50 at the site. If you would prefer home delivery, the cost is $5.00. Must call at least one day in advance to reserve your meal. 608-930-9845.

New this year – live music. Lyrica Daentl will be playing the piano for the entertainment of all.

Dementia Friendly Iowa County Meetings are a community driven effort to develop and sustain an increased awareness and understanding of dementia with decreased isolation and stigma so individuals with dementia are valued, included, and live well.

Meetings are confidential, warm and welcoming. They start at 10:30 am and last only an hour or so. All are welcome! Bring a friend! Dodgeville Public Library, 139 South Iowa Street, Dodgeville.

Dementia Support Group

Build a support system with people who understand. Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia to:

  • Develop a support system.
  • Exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions.
  • Talk through issues and ways of coping.
  • Share feelings, needs and concerns.
  • Learn about community resources.
