Our mission is to provide older adults the opportunity to build and maintain social, cognitive, and physical skills.

  • An inclusive, warm, ‘family’ atmosphere
  • Fun physical exercises to keep joints/muscles flexible
  • Stimulating mental activities

  • Delicious full noon meal
  • Medication reminders
  • Nutritious snacks
  • Transportation available
  • Musical entertainment
  • Community outings
  • Local speakers

 

Positive Outcomes for participants:

  • Foster a sense of belonging, purpose
  • Rekindle old hobbies and learn new ones
  • Reduce depression
  • Improve mental agility
  • Stronger, more flexible joints & muscles

  • Older adults facing health and social changes who want to participate in fun, stimulating, and meaningful  activities

Priority is given to older people and people with disabilities.  If space is available, we provide transportation to anyone of any age who requests a ride.  Reservations can be made at any time, but must be made at least one day prior to the trip.

Dementia Support Group

Build a support system with people who understand. Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia to:

  • Develop a support system.
  • Exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions.
  • Talk through issues and ways of coping.
  • Share feelings, needs and concerns.
  • Learn about community resources.
