The Seniors United for Nutrition Program (SUN Program) seeks a professional to act as their next Executive Director.
The Seniors United for Nutrition Program, Inc. supports and assists seniors 60 years of age and over by providing hot nutritious meals; home delivered or in a group setting, to promote fellowship, reduce isolation and to provide prevention programming to assist in maintaining independence and involvement in their community.
The Sun Program services senior adults in both Iowa and Lafayette Counties. Seniors United for Nutrition Program, Inc. is a private non-profit organization financially supported in part by:
- Federal Older Americans Act, state funds, county levy, FEMA funding, NSIP funding, local municipalities, local community grants, individual site donations, and meal donations.
The Executive Director is responsible for the planning, operation, administration and direct supervision of the Senior Nutrition Program. Responsibilities include personnel supervision (both staff and volunteers), budgeting and fiscal monitoring, purchasing, managing contracts, data collection and reporting, assessments, public relations, and program development.
The Executive Director will be tasked with the day-to-day operations of the Seniors United for Nutrition Program in accordance with the SUN Board and the Nutrition Program Operations under Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging Resources, Inc. (GWAAR) and developing a fund development strategy of building relationships with private foundations and major donors. Starting salary is $56,160.00 and is based upon candidate’s qualifications. Qualifications
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Nutrition, Health or Human Services related field (Preference for a Bachelor’s in Dietetics). A Wisconsin Food Service Manager Certification or the ability to become certified as a Food Service Manager within six (6) months of employment. Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience required. A valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain accessible and reliable transportation required. Preference for Registered Dietician credentials and previous experience in a Senior Nutrition Program or related field desired.
