ADRC of Southwest WI – Iowa County Office
The Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRCs) offer the general public a single entry point for information and assistance on issues affecting older people and people with disabilities regardless of their income. These resource centers are welcoming and convenient places for you and your family to get information and access to a wide variety of services. Services are provided through the telephone, at the resource center or in your own home. Information and assistance at ADRCs is always free and confidential!

Services Available
Transportation Options:
ADRC TAXI – The ADRC Taxi-Dodgeville provides transportation to City of Dodgeville residents on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays. The hours of operation for the ADRC Taxi are 7:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The taxi service is limited to stops within Dodgeville city limits plus Blain’s Farm & Fleet. Fees are $2.50 for the first and last stop with a .50-cent charge for any additional destinations. Please call 608-553-0590 to organize your taxi service needs.
ADRC RURAL TAXI – Residents in outlying areas of Iowa County plus the City of Mineral Point have a handicapped-accessible minivan to transport them to appointments, run errands, or visit family or friends within Iowa County. The ADRC Rural Taxi is running on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 8:15 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. All rides will be organized through the ADRC office. Call 608-930-9835 to schedule your ride. Nominal Fees apply.
VOLUNTEER DRIVER PROGRAM – The ADRC has a volunteer driver program available to Iowa County residents age 60 and over or people with disabilities to transport people to non-emergency medical appointments. To schedule a ride for a non-emergency medical appointment, riders must contact the Aging & Disability Resource Center a minimum of 48 hours prior to the appointment. At that time, we will contact our volunteer drivers to organize transportation. A fee based on mileage will be assessed for each medical trip. ADRC CARE A VAN bus – The ADRC Care A Van bus provides transportation to Iowa County residents age 60 and older and adults with disabilities. The Care A Van will travel to predetermined destinations. The ADRC Care A Van schedule is located on this website. It can also be found in our monthly publication called the News and Views which is an insert in the local Shopping News. For residents who are 60 and older, there is a suggested $5 donation. For all other riders, the fee depends on the actual cost of the trip.
