Who We Are

We’re here to help older people and people with disabilities – along with their families and caregivers – find services and resources to keep them living well and independently. We help: Adults age 60 and older, Adults with physical or developmental disabilities.


Our Mission

The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Southwest Wisconsin is dedicated to providing older adults and people with physical or developmental/intellectual disabilities with the resources needed to live with dignity and security, and achieve maximum independence and quality of life. The goal of the ADRC is to empower individuals to to make informed choices and to streamline access to the appropriate services and supports.

By Appointment Only! The AARP Tax Aides will be scheduling income tax appointments at the Health and Human Services Center in Dodgeville. Every Thursday through April 13, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Call (608) 930-9835.

List of Things to Bring to your Appointment:

  • Last year’s taxes
  • SOCIAL SECURITY CARD, required!
  • 1099-SSA
  • 1099-INT
  • 1099-DIV
  • 1099-R
  • W-2
  • Any other income items
  • Record of estimated taxes paid
  • Record of real estate taxes paid and a copy of this year’s real estate tax bill
  • If you rent, bring a perfectly signed rent certificate
  • Supplemental health insurance paid

The AARP Tax Aides cannot do working farm returns, businesses with over $5,000 in expenses, apartment rentals, and other more complicated returns.

Dementia Friendly Iowa County Meetings are a community driven effort to develop and sustain an increased awareness and understanding of dementia with decreased isolation and stigma so individuals with dementia are valued, included, and live well.

Meetings are confidential, warm and welcoming. They start at 10:30 am and last only an hour or so. All are welcome! Bring a friend! Dodgeville Public Library, 139 South Iowa Street, Dodgeville.
